WATCH: Wild turkey runs loose inside Martin’s Super Market in Granger
GRANGER, Ind. (WNDU) - Here’s something you don’t see every day… officers responding to the Call of the Wild (Turkey)!
Officers with the St. Joseph County Police Department were called last week to the Martin’s Super Market on State Road 23 in Granger to help remove a wild turkey that was causing chaos inside the store.
You can see in the body cam video that the turkey created a mess for store employees, as items were strewn all over the floor.
But props to the officer who stayed calm and apprehended the pesky poultry perpetrator while it was sitting on top of a shelf in the pharmacy area.
The officer carried the turkey outside and released it safely back into the wild, so “no harm, no fowl!”
